Odd Fee

In the vehicle registration renewal notice I just received, there one very odd item.

PARK/TOLL VIOLATIONS

Date Agency Violation No. Code Amount

08/13/05 Santa Cruz 009281419 44310 $130

This makes no sense as:

1) I never received any ticket (so I don't know what is this violation for).

2) I was in LA at that time.

The only number I can call is the general DMV number, but of course, it's too late to call now as DMV office is closed. I guess I'll have to wait till Monday to find out what is going on.

Have you ever receive anything weird like this on your vehicle renewal notice?

Strange. Sounds like there is someone else out there with a name like yours perhaps? And their ticket ended up on your registration? Hard to say but the DMV oughta be able to clear it up as the ticket should have vehicle license number and stuff.

I had something exactly like that today. I got a letter in the mail for registration renewal and it said…..

5/01/06 Oakland the violation No. 01301 $125

I live in San Diego and have never been north of LA. I’m calling the DMV tomorrow.

I had just recieved the same letter as well and they charged me $100. I don’t recollect ever getting a ticket nor parking anywhere I shouldn’t have??

I too received an $89 fee maked as park/toll violation. I am trying to find the DMV place as well as the Toll Roads place to request that it be dismissed and erased. On that date I was charged for a toll.
